About Us

Who Are We?
Every large beard company — even the giants like Tom Ford — know our name. Yet we’ve stayed smaller, more focused, and more personal. Beard of God began in 2015, but the spark started in late 2014.
I’m Moez, (far left) and when I’m introduced to a new space, I don’t just join it — I improve it. Back then, I started growing a beard and quickly realized every product on the market was the same: basic essential oil blends. Sure, there were classics like Bay Rum, which we still carry today, and even our now-famous house-made orange essential oil used in our oils, butters, and washes.
But that wasn’t enough.
One day I was walking through a local flea market and came across a vendor with a massive selection of incense and fragrance oils. I must’ve spent half an hour testing scents when, tucked behind three other bottles, I found it: Vanilla & Tobacco.
That was the one.
I knew immediately this would be the foundation of something bigger. I took that scent, refined it, and turned it into what would become our signature oil. Within a few months, Beard of God’s Facebook page hit 14,000 followers, and we were shipping orders non-stop.
Back then, we were among the very first to blend rich, complex fragrances into beard products — long before it became the trend. We had to deal with our ads getting flagged for “tobacco” or “hemp” content, even though we were simply ahead of the curve.
Interestingly, just a few months after we launched our Vanilla & Tobacco oil, Tom Ford released his own Tobacco Vanille beard oil — and if you look closely, his base ingredient is grapeseed oil. A detail we noticed, because we’ve always believed in using the best. Unlike others who praise castor oil, we’ve never touched it — it’s thick, greasy, and just doesn’t belong in a product meant to nourish both skin and beard.
While others followed, often copying our scent names and ideas, we kept creating. Today, many of the brands selling these popular scents are standing on foundations we helped build — but originality can’t be duplicated.
We’ve faced challenges, including losing our Facebook ad account more than once due to misunderstandings and even impersonation. But the truth is, Beard of God wasn’t made to be ordinary — and the real ones know that.
We operate with a small, dedicated team — each one a professional in their field — so that everything we do stays personal, thoughtful, and real. When you reach out to us, you’re not talking to some disconnected rep reading off a screen. You’re speaking with people who actually know the products, the process, and the passion behind it all.
