At Beard of God, we take great pride in the craftsmanship, purity, and consistency of every blend we create. While most customers love their products, we understand that scent and grooming preferences can be personal. Our policies are designed to ensure fairness, clarity, and a smooth experience for all customers — without compromising the integrity of our small-batch process.

Returns & Refunds — 60 Days

If your purchase isn’t the right fit, you may return it within 60 days of delivery for a full refund (minus shipping costs).

Returned items may be inspected to confirm product integrity and formulation consistency.

Exchanges (Scent Preference or Product Swap)

If you’d like to exchange an item for another scent or product, just reach out with your order number.

Important:
Because all Beard of God oils, butters, and washes are hand-blended in consistent batches, minor variations in scent perception are natural within the intended profile of each fragrance.

Claims of “no scent” or “lost scent” are not considered product defects unless the item is returned and verified by us.
Fragrance oils and oil-based products do not evaporate or disappear under normal storage or use.

If you prefer a different scent or profile, we’re happy to assist with an exchange once the original product is returned. Free reships are not offered for preference-based differences.

Delivery Issues — USPS Policy & Requirements

We are committed to ensuring you receive your order. However, USPS requires specific steps before a missing-package claim can be processed.

1. “Delivered” but not received

USPS may scan a package as delivered a few hours early, especially during busy seasons.
Most packages arrive later the same day or by the next morning.

2. Waiting period before an official investigation

USPS requires a mandatory wait time before opening a claim:

  • Marked Delivered: Wait 24–48 hours

  • Lost / Missing: Claims typically open after 10 days, depending on region and route

3. A phone number is required by USPS

The postal inspector may contact you directly to confirm non-delivery.
We cannot file a claim without a valid phone number.

4. Replacement after USPS verification

Once USPS confirms the parcel as missing/not received, we will ship a replacement at no cost.

Why we cannot reship before USPS verification

This protects both you and us from:

  • Mis-deliveries

  • Early delivery scans

  • Carrier errors

  • Address mistakes

  • Theft claims

  • Fraudulent reports

We follow USPS procedure to ensure accurate and fair outcomes.

Scent Notes & Natural Variations

All Beard of God oils, butters, and washes are crafted using natural carrier oils and premium fragrance blends.

A subtle natural aroma from the base oils (such as plant-based tones from hemp or safflower) is normal and expected, and it dissipates once applied.

Differences in perceived scent strength, longevity, or intensity are considered preference or sensory perception, not product defects.
